Strong Lead, Fenced Weakness ft Randy Nabors
In a time when leadership is suspect--and sometimes with good reason--it is a rich experience to glean from a bold and gifted pastor and Army colonel who humbly acknowledges his mistakes and teaches us from them. Listen to this pioneering (sometimes controversial) church-founding pastor after 50 yrs of service. And take note. There is wisdom here. "Remember your leaders, those who have spoken to you the Word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith." Hebrews 13:7

LDR Weekend 2019: Gospel Home Trainin' (Dr. Mika Edmondson)
LDR Weekend was held in Chattanooga, TN, August 30-September 2. Here is the second plenary session shared by Mika Edmondson. Learn more about the African American Ministries at http://www.aampca.org. Genuine Love: Charting A Third Way (or "Gospel Home Trainin') Overcoming evil with good is not an easy thing to do because it’s not the natural thing to do. The natural way to approach injustice is either acquiescence or retaliation. But the genuine love of Jesus charts a third way. Christ’s redemptive power displayed on the cross moves us to both radical resistance of evil and radical forgiveness of offense, for the good of both the oppressed and the oppressor.
LDR Weekend 2019: It's Okay to Love the Church (K.A. Ellis)
LDR Weekend was held in Chattanooga, TN, August 30-September 2. Here is the second plenary session shared by Karen Ellis. Learn more about the African American Ministries at http://www.aampca.org. Genuine Love: It's Okay to Love the Church For most of us, powerless is uncomfortable. Yet throughout history, God sustains the unseen and "powerless" to represent the Christ who radically transforms all who believe on His name through His love. Our unity and identification with the ongoing story of God's people marks us as uniquely His, and provides an alternative witness to the world that prefers control through cultural or political power. Recognizing our role in God's story shapes our identity, priorities and purpose - particularly as we find ourselves in a world increasingly hostile to the true, transformative, and Biblical Christ.
LDR Weekend 2019: Rejoicing in the Imago Dei (Dr. Irwyn Ince)
LDR Weekend was held in Chattanooga, TN, August 30-September 2. Here is the second plenary session shared by Irwyn Ince. Learn more about the African American Ministries at http://www.aampca.org. Genuine Love: Rejoicing in the Imago Dei How should the body of Christ affirm the full humanity of all people, especially those whom others are inclined to despise? When we are situated rightly in our understanding of our immense value (while simultaneously grasping that we are not God), we can be unapologetic about our image-bearing identity as Black people, as well as demonstrate unifying, reconciling love. This celebration of God’s creative genius seen in our diversity edifies the entire Church.

I Thessalonians 5:12-24, I Thessalonians 2:2-6. This Sunday’s message is a special challenge from Rev. Randy Nabors of the New City Network to the newly installed Senior Pastor, and to the Grace Session and Congregation. As you listen, think about the relationship you have with your pastor and pray for him and your church.
